Finish line note:  Someone told me that Rusty was outside (toward the center of the ice) of the 1.5 meter mark at this finish, and he did not receive a DNF.  But if you look above the arrow in the photo, you can just make out the 1.5 meter mark, and Rusty is obviously still inside the mark.  Again, the truth is reflected in the photo finish image, not by what the referees see (referees are not allowed to make calls concerning the finish), and also would not be apparent from the spectator stands across ice. Here is a close-up from this same photo.  The line has not been enhanced in this photo.  If you look just between Rusty's skates, you can even see the pre-start line for that side of rink, indicating that he is crossing right at the end of the finish line, but well inside the 1.5 meter mark.   JS
